Anders Behring Breivik Manifesto 2083 video, Anders put together a 1500 page manuscript and video detailing the reasoning behind his ideology, and beliefs. It is thought that he was influenced in his thinking after attending a meeting with English far right activists in London.

Norway shooting footage is generally being restricted at this time, and only a few videos exist, which the police are asking for in order to help with the investigations. Twitter messages and Facebook posts are also being studied.

A knife man has been arrested after a man with a knife may have been trying to assassinate the Prime minister. Anders Breivik has made a confession and you can dial 004723132700 if you have relatives involved.

Pictures of the gunman have been released which appear to show him executing people in cold blood. He was armed with an M16 machine gun and a Glock pistol.

There is a video which shows the media scrum around a man who was arrested and is now detained for carrying a knife whilst outside the hotel in central Oslo, where the Norwegian Prime Minister had been visiting survivors. The PM was in the building at the time.

Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg has already said that he personally knew several of those shot dead yesterday, and David Cameron, Barrack Obama and other world leaders have joined him in condemning the attacks, and offering support.

The Queen of England and the UK has offered condolences to her subjects in Norway, and told of her sadness at what has happened.

What is going to be a long search for missing bodies is still continuing in the lake and surrounding islets, where so many have been slaughtered. Divers are on the scene to recover corpses.

There are many photographs which have been taken by a number Norwegians photographers who arrived during the shooting. The pictures show dozens of heads bobbing in the waters of the lake and people swimming for their lives.

After the carnage the island appears to make a peaceful scene, with the lake calm and no obvious signs of the massacre that had taken place, but when you look closer you can see blood and bullet holes.

Marius Helander Roset who is one of the survivors of the shooting told the Norwegian newspaper VG that the gunman had tried to lure him out of his hiding place, but that he stayed where he was.

Norway shooting pictures have shown Marius after he was able to get to safety.

Marius told how Anders first action was to shoot the first cute girl he saw. Marius then found a cave where he was able to hide with a number of others.

Anders stood near and threw rocks into the water to lure the hiders out, though they stayed and survived.

The Norwegian King Harald and Queen Sonja went to the hotel where survivors and family members are staying, to start to recover from their ordeals.

Ove Vanebo, who is the leader of the Progressive Party’s youth-wing, an opposition party to the ruling Labor Party said that Breivik had been an active member at the beginning of the 2000s though he later resigned as his views became more extreme, and possibly found new friends who shared his beliefs.

The leader of the youth camp a man called Eskil Pedersen made a statement which said that the shooting at his camp had been beyond his worst nightmares.

Another man was detained outside the hotel where the Prime Minister was visiting survivors. When speaking he told reporters that he was a member of Labour’s youth party and had been stopped for carrying a knife in his pocket, purely for self defence.

There are said to be tensions in Oslo between left and right wing extremists, and there are fears that the Norway killings could spark rioting.

The mass killer Anders Behring Breivik had now been confirmed as being former member of Fremskrittspartiet which is Labour’s main opposition party.

The Police are still searching for the second gunman and are now investigating the possibility that there was in fact another gunman as eyewitnesses have reported seeing at least one other man shooting on the island, it has been said that the other gunman was not wearing a police uniform, though Anders was wearing something resembling a police uniform.

Felleskjopet have said that the bomber had bought around 6 tons of fertiliser as long ago as May 4, for his farm where he grows vegetables. This was used to make the Oslo bombs.

Anders Behring Breivik’s Facebook page is circulating on Twitter, though it has now been closed down. His Twitter account appears recent and is unverified.

The bomb blast was so strong that buildings and the surrounding area were severely damaged.

It is thought at least two bombs went off in Oslo, one targeting the Presidential offices. Nearby streets were strewn with glass and debris. The bomber Anders travelled north after to attack the youth camp.

We will keep this page updated with the latest pictures and videos. This is why we need to fight terrorism, though of course trying to talk and reason with fundamentalists is very hard, they often will not listen to other points of view.

This appears to be the work of a lone madman, and you can do little to stop that. Many people argue that guns should be more widely available.

Forums like Arm Britain argue that if guns were legal to responsible citizens these instances could be better contained, and many people look at the U.S.A and gun crime there and say it is not right to have guns, due to the higher number of deaths per 1000 population compared with the UK.

The trouble is the many criminals and potentially highly dangerous individuals all over the EU and worldwide have guns, and lots of them.

Action needs to be taken on taking guns away from criminals, and making tougher sentences apply to gun crime, which has too many victims, and the numbers are growing, worldwide.

It seems no one had a gun at the holiday camp, and Police took more than an hour to arrive. One person there with a gun would have had a chance to stop the massacre.

Norway is a strong nation and this tragedy will make them stronger, as it made London stronger at many times in its history, not to mention so many other bombings, which are all terrible.

Throughout human history we have fought each other, killed each other. It must stop, how is another question.

The Norway killings by gunman Anders Behring Breivik have devastated the country. The man was arrested after he carried out a gun rampage in what has been a sickening attack on Norways Labor party youth movement.

Pictures and videos are now being released of the carnage that unfolded.

The terror attack on Utoeya Island represents a major surprise in what is generally a very stable region. The murders both in the bomb blast attack on the Presidents building in Oslo, and the shootings which followed some time later in Utoeya have stunned Norway.

A Neo Nazi terrorist is being held after attacks on Labour Party youths who were killed. There is said to be another man on the loose, and there are fears that this killing could spark a wave of attacks in Norway.

It is unknown if the President himself was subject to an assassination attempt, when his compound was bombed with a home made bomb. At least 7 people died in the initial bombing attack, and many were injured. Oslo’s streets around the blast area were littered with debris.

There are fears that a right wing neo-nazi group carried out the attacks, though it does appear that a lone man, or possibly two are the culprits, and if they are part of a bigger organisation or group is unknown.

Norway is in mourning.

It appears that the killer Anders Breivik actually carried out the bombing[s] in Oslo, then travelled to Utøya island to carry out a further rampage. He was armed with guns and bombs.

In central Oslo the bombing in Norway preceded a shooting attack and bomb attack deaths. Anders Breivik suspect arrested.

A lone gunman Breivik had been detained following the shootings at a youth meeting on a scenic Norwegian Utoeya island and also the bombing in central Oslo on Friday 22/07/2011 is Norwegian the Norway Justice Minister Knut Storberget has confirmed. It is believed the man may be a Norwegian Neo Nazi.

He advised that information so far released is that the man is is a Norwegian when speaking at a news conference. Thought there is little other information on the man, and he advised that he didnt know much more at this time, and that police are investigating.

At the same conference on Friday 22/07/2011 when news of the attacks emerged Knut Storberget advised that the information he had suggested that seven people were killed in the central Oslo bombing, and around 10 injured.

He also suggested that several people had been killed and a number of others wounded during the shooting rampage at the Utoeya youth camp which is located northwest of Oslo, and run by the ruling Labour Party.

Specifics of what the camp is, and what is does will be reported on in due course.

Seemingly oblivious to the true extent of the terror attack deputy Oslo police chief Sveining Sponheim initially advised that the number of victims was 10, or possibly nine. Norway has been slow to reveal full details of the carnage, and when reporters asked about the estimated death toll in the Utoeya island shooting, it seems there was a big underestimation of the actual death toll, which is now thought to be closer to 100 dead.

The deputy police chief was able to confirm the arrest of the murderer/terrorist, and confirmed that the man who committed the terrorist attack being questioned by Oslo police is believed to have knowledge of the bomb blast in Oslo that has killed at least seven people.

The latest is that the assailant has shot dead at least 84 people at the Labor youth camp run by Norways ruling party.

What the Norway PM has described as a youth paradise, is now a place like hell, where people are still coming to terms with what is perhaps one of the most violent and devastating terrorist attackes of recent time.

Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg has spoke of his anger at those who have carried out the attacks and has said that those involved will be hunted and brought to justice.

A great number of those who have lost their lives are people which the PM personally knows. He knows many of the young people, and their parents.

Jens Stoltenberg is hurting especially as the attack happened in a place where he had been every summer since 1979, a place where he has experienced joy, commitment and security. Now there is sorrow in the place which was hit by brutal violence on 22/07/2011.

Condemning the attack on the youth gathering which happened at Utoeya, the PM describes the situation as national tragedy. The island of Utoeya is a small wooded holiday island. It hosts the annual camp for the Labor Partys youth wing.

It has not been since the Nazi invasion of World War II that the country seen a greater crime.

The prime minister was unwilling to speculate on the motives for the attacks, though he did say that compared with other countries he would not say that Norway has a big problem with right wing extremists. This statement may come back to haunt him, in what is the worst terror attack in Europe for quite some time, and also begs the question of why was the youth gathering not properly protected.

Norway does not appear on the table showing the nations with the most small arms per population. This man may of been ex army, he was armed with an M16 machine gun and a Glock, which he both legally had.

Norway does have a number of extreme or right wing groups, some of which have been monitored by the Noway security services before.

The worry is that if there is a large scale right wing movement in Norway the country could decent into civil war, or that a new wave of terror attacks from fanatics such as ETA could begin. One mans terrorist is anothers freedom fighter, and the events over the past days have shown that there are people out there who will kill at random, and the proper term for these people can ovly be madmen.

The police have also come into contact with extremist groups in the past. The attack appears to of come totally out of the blue.

Local police are now saying that at least 84 youngsters are dead, some of which have been shot in the head and executed. Some of which were shot whilst trying to swim away from the carnage.

A number of employees at government offices in Oslo were killed in bombing killed at least seven people earlier on Friday, and injured many more. The government offices bombing has rocked the city of Oslo.

Speaking of the tragedy Norways PM said that the attack is beyond comprehension, and that it is like a nightmare.

So many young have been killed, and for their close ones; mothers, fathers and siblings who are now brutally confronted with death. Norway is in mourning, though the most important thing now is to bring those who have killed and planned attacks to justice.

President Barack Obama of the U.S.A has condemned the attacks.

The survivors and their kin will need help to come to terms with event said Stoltenberg. PTSD – post traumatic stress disorder is something that many will suffer from in the future.

The PM spoke of how everyone who was present at Uteoya will be damaged for life.

The Young people present have experienced things every person should be spared like fear, blood and death.

British PM David Cameron is understood to of spoken to the Norway PM and expressed his condolences over the phone. Cameron is expected to visit Norway over the coming days, and a British investigation team is thought to be on the ground in Norway helping with the investigation.

Bodies are still being recovered from the water where many were slain, executed, murdered, whatever you want to call it.

137 questions in total. Initially David Cameron has sensationally been asked to resign by Ed Miliband over the phone hacking scandal.

PM took himself out of decision making process on BskyB deal. Suspicions are aroused over his involvement. Milly Dowler discussed.

The David Cameron resignation scandal is joining the phone hacking scandal.

David Cameron is looking rather uncomfortable after initially putting in a strong defence, after Parliament has been recalled.

Ed Milliband is coming up with some very good questions, and David Cameron is going to have to answer some very important questions.

Sean Hoare Death

Events are leading to suggest that David Cameron will resign. If David Cameron now offers his resignation and resigns he may also be investigated in the hacking scandal.

Sean Hoare has died. His death is currently looking like a murder investigation. He died in Langley Road, Watford. The cause of death is possible foul play. He is a former The Sun employee. Reportes that Sean Hoare was murdered appear unfounded at this time, though Police have not totally ruled this out.

Hertfordshire police have also arrested Neil Wallis though have not arrested John Yates whose resignation to Sir Paul Stephenson was accepted. He resigns after Metropolitan Police corruption scandal involving Chamy Media. Sir Paul Stevenson has now resigned over the affair also. The Paul Stephenson resignation comes as a blow to the Met who have lost a fine leader.

Andy Coulson is arrested, the Glastonbury death of Chris Shale is still being investigated, and David Cameron open Hacking enquiry alongside Operation Weeting.

Found Dead

It has been reported that the former hacking whistleblower Sean Hoare has been found dead at his home, after concerned neighbours called the police.

He was a former News of the World reporter who had blown the whistle on the widespread offence of phone hacking which took place at the News of the World and other newspapers during the 90′s and early 00′s.

Sean Hoare spent time working at The Sun and he has been pronounced dead after police and medics attended his home in Langley Road, Watford, around 11am yesterday 18/07/2011.

Hertfordshire police Investigation

When asked Hertfordshire police have now said that his death is currently unexplained. Initially is does not appear to be suspicious, and investigations are continuing.

Witnesses have confirmed that a number of Police forensic officers were seen entering Mr Hoaress home at around 21:30 hrs last night and emerged carrying evidence bags, clipboards, torches and laptop bags. The latest forensics technology is computer aided and very interesting to see in action.

Mr Hoare had health problems from his hectic lifestyle, and in that past he had been a keen drinker and for some time had a drugs problem which he picked up during his many years in showbusiness reporting.

Andy Coulson

Hoare was not afraid to speak out and it was he who helped to being the phone hackling allegations, and the fact that Andy Coulson was complicit to light. The first News International journalist who had the guts to confirm that Andy Coulson knew about widespread phone hacking at the NOTW. There have been strong indications from intelligence sources that he may of been murdered or taken his own life.

His death comes after Chris Shale was found dead in Glastonbury, another public figure who has died in the past 4 weeks.

Some say quite cruelly he sacked by the NOTW after his health deteriorated. He later told The New York Times that Mr Coulson actively encouraged his staff to listen in to messages on celebrities and politicians phones.

Mr Hoare is thought to of once been a very close friend of Mr Coulson, and that they fell out over his sacking. This does bring anything the Mr Hoare says into question, therefore you can not take him as being a 100% accurate witness, but have to look at the wider picture.

After Mr Coulson went on to become the Prime Minister’s communications chief he always denied the claims and his current position is that he never condoned the use of phone hacking and does not have any recollection of incidences where phone hacking took place. Andy Coulson has made denials but very weak ones, and more clarity is possibly needed now he has been arrested.

Sean Hoare Truth

Mr Hoare has always insisted all he was doing was telling the truth. His friends say that he was a genuine witness, and that his information could of been crucial to the phone hacking and corruption allegations which are being pursued by the UK police against the Murdoch empire.

He provided information for a The New York Times article which was published last September and was subsequently interviewed under caution, and was suspected of being complicit in the hackling scandal.

Metropolitan Police officers did not gain evidence during his questioning of illegal activity on his part, though the information he provided could be seen as a catalyst for further investigations from then on.

It was reported that he made no comment to the team led by Assistant Commissioner John Yates, but it is possible that a deal may of been reached.

John Yates resigned from the force yesterday 18/07/2011 over claims that he mishandled the case, but also over the appointment Neil Wallis a former NOTW editor who worked for the Met.

Neil Wallis

Neil Wallis who is 60 has been arrested on the morning of the 14/07/2011 under suspicion of hacking and intercepting mobile phones, and obtaining personal information. His arrest was made in a dawn raid on his west London home, where he is thought to of been arrested in his dressing gown.

Wallis’ company called Chamy Media had been awarded a lucrative contract to provide PR advice to the Metropolitan Police until last September, and it is thought that he personally knew John Yates, and that his resignation may be linked with information that Wallis had provided to the Met.

Chamy Media

The exact sum of money involved in this PR deal is uncertain but there have been reports that Wallis’ firm Chamy Media had been paid £24,000 for communications advice at a time when the force’s deputy director of public affairs was on sick leave, which makes it look quite bad.

Defending the actions the Met Police have said that at least three companies had submitted a bid for the PR service based on two days per month work over a year period.

Chamy Media got the contract as they were significantly cheaper than the others. The contract ran from October 2009 until September 2010, when it was terminated by mutual consent. September is when the hacking allegations began to surface.

Sir Paul Stephenson

The man in charge at the Met Police Commissioner, Sir Paul Stephenson who took the resignation of John Yates reported the contract to the Chair of the Police authority, though it should be stressed that it is unlikely an offer of the repute of John Yates would commit any crime, and he should not be seen as being guilty of anything apart from mis judgement. He does not deserve to lose his job as the evidence stands. At the moment the UK needs all the Police it has.

Sir Paul has now sadly resigned after he was forced to provide a defence defence on why he decided to have dinner with Wallis back in 2006.

He has defended himself strongly to the Metropolitan Police Authority and said that he did not believe that on any occasion he had acted inappropriately. And that he was very satisfied with his own integrity.

He has previously described the recent developments during the News of the World phone hacking inquiry over the recent weeks as highly and deeply disturbing, and has committed himself to ensuring that those involved all feel the full weight of the law. It is thought that forces above may be trying to topple him and hamper the investigation.

Sean Hoare Drugs

Sean Hoare lived a chaotic life and as part of his job as a celebrity and show business reporter he got hooked on drugs regularly took cocaine and pills while mingling with rock stars and celebrities.

Police Corruption

One of the more disturbing aspects of the story is that is had been claimed that NOTW reporters were able to bribe police officers to track targets for stories using mobile phone mast technology, which the police have expertise and access to track a telephone number.

Sean Hoare Health

Sean had suffered from a number of health problems and health was failing, he recently had expressed a desire that journalism be cleaned up and maintained that he had not been paid for his allegations.

Andy Coulson Arrest

Sean seemed happy that he lived long enough to see the arrest of Mr Coulson, who still denies any wrongdoing, and was arrested on suspicion of phone hacking a fortnight ago. Andy Coulson is also implicated in the police corruption scandal, which was highlighted earlier this month.

Lost Information

Due to the untimely death of Hoare this means any knowledge he has of the corruption and illegal activities of The Sun and News of the World, may not be available to the public and police inquiry which has been confirmed as being in progress by David Cameron at the end of last week.

Operation Weeting which is the current police investigation into phone hacking at the NOTW were due to be interviewing him again about his allegations.

Hoare Injured

It is thought that Sean Hoare had been injured either last weekend or the one before whilst taking down a marquee which he had put up for a childrens party.

It is thought that an accidental blow was received by him from a heavy pole which he used to erect the marquee which had had broken his nose heavily and badly injured his foot. It is thought he attended the hospital, but may of suffered bleeding not seen by doctors.

Sean Hoare Cause Of Death

The circumstances and details surrounding the death of Sean Hoare still remain unclear. Hertfordshire police have now issued a statement which confirms that at 10:40 hrs on 18/07/2011 the police were called to Langley Road in Watford as there were concerns for the welfare of a man who lives at a property on the street. After medics and police attended the man was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 11:00 hrs.There have been suggestions that the death is linked to an organised hit by the Murdoch empire but this seems fanciful.

The cause of death is currently unknown.

It has been reported that the FBI are now investigating News Corp and Rupert Murdochs business empire over allegations that 9/11 victims may have had their phones hacked.

This is a most serious allegation, and should it be substantiated there is a strong chance that the U.S will move to extradite Andy Coulson, and Rebecka Brooks.

Rupert Murdoch

Encompassing a vast selection of newspapers, magazines and media streams in the UK Rupert Murdoch’s flagship company News Corp also owns a number of US TV networks, studios and publishers, which generate a large slice of the companies income.

It appears that politicians in the U.S.A have joined in the attack on what is a generally law abiding company, though it showed recently how ruthless it can be by making over 200 British workers at the News Of The World notice of intended redundancy.

Phone hacking scandal has barely been recognised in the U.S until recently and President BObama has expressed his concern at the allegations, and that if they are true, then News Corp, and those in management who were complicit in illegal activity, must be dealt with fairly under U.S law.

Murdochs to is now due to face British MPs over the hacking culture that he is thought to of encouraged in many of his news divisions including the News Of The World and The Sun newspapers.

Gordon Brown the ex UK Prime Minister recently warned that he believed that the whole of News Corps businesses may be tainted by what has happened, which appears to be phone hacking on a mass scale.

Recent reports have suggested that not only phones have been hacked but bank details, email accounts and even possibly confidential information held on public databases.

It has even been suggested that News Of The World and News Corporation employed a network of computer hackers to hack into computers around the planet, and targeted not just celebrities but members of parliament both in the UK and IS.

Nick Clegg deputy leader of the coalition Government has suggested that offenders, and even Murdoch himself may face prison and jail.

The FBI is now putting huge resources into investigating Rupert Murdochs News Corporation and other businesses and individuals and it seems there is evidence suggest his business sought to hack the phones of victims of the 9/11 terror attacks. Which basically means that Murdoch is dead in America. The American public and congress will crucify him.

There was a rumour that MI5 are monitoring Murdoch and are due to arrest him for a number of crimes relating to his business practices.

These reports of criminal probes have followed angry calls from a growing number of US senators and at least one senior Republican congressman for an investigation into these issues. And Obama is said to of personally authorised the FBI to start investigations.

An FBI official confirmed that there is now an investigation which is ongoing. It is thought that Murdoch may of even been arrested already as no word has been heard from him or his son in the past few hours.

This FBI inquiry will mean that the phone hacking scandal has now crossed the Atlantic, and after the billions wiped off the share prices of both BskyB and News Corps, the business could be declared bankrupt within a month, should advertisers desert, and expenses increase. The process could take years though, it is hard to say.

The US justice department, which oversees the FBI has been slow to comment on the issue, though insiders have said that all options are on the table.

Tracy Schmaler from the department was reported as confirming that there may be an investigation by other U.S agencies as well as the FBI.

The giant that is News Corporation is based in New York, and is the parent company of News International which is the UK firm at the centre the growing scandal over the phone hacking and payments to police officers crimes.

News International reacting to pressure amazingly close tabloid newspaper the News of the World which was 168 years old and then pulled out of a takeover bid for the UK’s largest TV provider BSkyB, which Murdoch already owns a share in.

The UK Prime Minister David Cameron has already set up a judge led inquiry into the allegations, and the government is putting extensive resources into investigations in the UK, and a number of arrests have already been made. Virtually every politician has condemned what appears to of happened.

In the US capital Washington DC some senators had this week asked authorities to investigate allegations that the mobile and landline phones of victims who died in the September 11 attacks may have been hacked into by News of the World journalists, and people paid by the news of the world. News International has not commented on these allegations.

Two Democratic senators called Jay Rockefeller and Barbara Boxer have also asked the attorney general along with the Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate what if any US laws had been broken.

Another Democratic Senator Robert Menendez has wrote to the attorney general separately and has backed calls that newspapers who have sought to exploit information gained illegally to report on personal tragedies for profit must be investigated.

Lastly Republican Congressman Peter King who for some time now has been the chairman of the House homeland security committee and now represents a constituency from New York where over 150 residents were lost in the 9/11 attacks has also called on Wednesday for an FBI inquiry. America is getting angry.

Homeowner Legal Stab Burglar Law Ken Clarke Reasonable Force Knife Cricket Baseball Bat Self Defence

For a homeowner it is legal to stab a burglar and within the law MP Ken Clarke has confirmed that reasonable force can include weapons such as a knife cricket bat or baseball bat and they may be used in self defence of yourself and your family if you were confronted by a criminal in your own home, or if you are on the streets, you may be able to reasonably use a nearby item to defend yourself.

Note what you cannot do is chase after a retreating criminal and attack them, this would be unreasonable force. It is also wise to consider what danger you were in, and if you do not fear for your life and act out of malice any death could result in prosecution.

Of course carrying custom weapons in public is not allowed so be aware of that, though if you are old and have a walking stick feel free to use it, though bear in mind that this is not wise and you should try to avoid violence, especially if old and this is just an example. In your home some everyday items double as weapons to potentially protect your life in a bad situation.

Following the recent stabbing of a burglar in Salford, Greater Manchester Ken Clarke has responded to calls from the public to clarify what force is reasonable when confronted with a burglar, who is hostile towards you when he or she breaks into your house. Ken confirmed that you can use a weapon on a burglar who threatens you.

If a thief or other person breaks into your property you have choices. Ideally secure yourself in a room and call the police. What Ken has said should not lead people to trying to confront and arrest burglars unless you have no other choice. Of course a man has to be able to defend his family and this has always been the case, but the Police should be called and confrontation avoided where possible.

There have been countless previous cases of burglars and tresspassers getting stabbed. One example is when Kenneth Noye argued in court that when he stabbed an intruder who tresspassed on his property he was defending his property against an intruder who was dangerous, the intruder happened to be a police officer, though we wont go into details of this case here, but cover it another time.

If as a householder in fear you pick up a knife and stab a burglar you should not face criminal charges, Kenneth Clarke, the Justice Secretary, has stated.

Announcing that there will be an act of Parliament which will be used to clarify the existing legal right to use reasonable force against intruders.

This annoucement has been as a direct result of the Peter Flanagan case where he was arrested on suspicion of murder following the stabbing of a burglar at a house in Salford, Greater Manchester, last week.

David Cameron has also promised that the new Justice Bill would put beyond doubt that home owners and small shopkeepers who use reasonable force to defend themselves or their properties will not be prosecuted.

This announcement means that shop keepers also have received the clarification that they are allowed to defend their property should they be robbed, attacked, or put in danger in any way.

Mr Clarke has now spelt out the sort of action that is permitted as the law stands. He has made clear that it would remain illegal to pursue intruders to attack them or to shoot them as they fled.

But if they pose a threat and make no attempt to flee then shooting or stabbing, or batting a burglar is reasonable, though proceeding to murder him while he is incapacitated would not be moral or possible legal. Those with gun licences should be allowed to use firearms on a burglar, Ken has suggested.

Giving an example scenario, though one which does occur from time to time, the Justice Secretary said that is an old lady found she had an intruder and she picks up a kitchen knife and sticks it in him, she has not committed a criminal offence.

And further scenarios should be covered in the proposed bill clarification when it is completed, which should be over the coming weeks, though it could drag into months should an urgent priority be put on it.

He confirmed the right to protect yourself and said that there is no doubt that you or I or anybody else is entitled to use reasonable force to defend ourselves and to protect ourselves or our homes or both.

This legal issue extends to a vast number of possible situations such as if you are walking the street and are attacked you have the right to pick up a rock to defend yourself, you get the idea. Many people have died as they believed that they did not have the right to protect themselves and this is now being addressed by the Conservative led government.

Kenneth advised that this is the law and he is going to make that absolutely clear in due course. The law will be clarified.

He gave a further example of possible applications of reasonable force and said that it was quite clear that if you can hit or stab a burglar with a poker if he is in the house and you have a perfect legal defence if you do so.

Mr Clarke reminds all that the defence of reasonable force already exists, and that common sense has to be used in its application. He is confident that it is perfectly reasonable that people use whatever force is necessary to protect themselves their homes and their family.

What a person should not do is go running down the road chasing them or shooting them in the back when they are running away or to get their friends together and go and beat them up. Vigilante attacks are a common site in the UK and they are not something that should be happening as the police and courts are equipped to deal with these things.

It is an absolute right to protect yourself and your home with reasonable force. Nobody should be prosecuted or convicted for defending themselves with reasonable force, and this will be clarified by the act of Parliament.

The prime minister David Camerons official spokesman has said that the objective is to put beyond doubt that home owners and small shopkeepers who use reasonable force to protect themselves or their property should be able to do that without being prosecuted, and this of course would extend to all those who face hostile and violent situations.

Precisely what need to be clarified is something which is being looked into. Changes to the law or sentencing guidelines is also something which is being looked at.

A Downing Street spokesman added that the Prime Minister is very pleased and fully supports Ken Clarke and his quest to support the law abiding citizen. And totally agrees with his Cabinet colleague’s comments.

Glastonbury stabbing death of Christopher Shale an MP found dead at festival on drugs reported crime man dies

Glastonbury Death Chris Shale MP dies possible drugs related death. Christopher Shale was a friend of David Cameron.

Hopefully Glastonbury Festival can control the crime at this years festival, which has seen stabbing deaths, assaults and other serious crimes in the past, and at least 1 drug related death this year.

Additional festival crime control measures have been put in place for 2011 both to protect residents and revellers.

It was reported in the news today that a friend of the Prime Minister has been found dead in mysterious circumstances at Glastonbury Festival.

David Cameron had known Senior Tory Christopher Shale, 56, for some time and he was discovered slumped in a portable toilet in a backstage VIP area, it appears he died from a heart attack, and suggestions have been made that the death may be drugs related.

There was a stabbing in the south west back in January when a Glastonbury man stabbed another during an incident in the town on Thursday 13th January. He was initially remanded in custody by a district judge.

Multiple Sclerosis sufferer Craig Stones at the time was too ill to be brought up to the dock at the South Somerset Magistrates court on Monday 17th January, so a special hearing was held in the court cells, at which he was ordered to be held in custody until a future hearing.

Glastonbury as a town does have quite a high crime level and there are countless drug users who seem to be drawn to the town and this leads to crime.

Almost every Glastonbury festival is marred by a death or an injury, and often criminals have been arrested in the town in the run up to the festival after targeting well to do festival goers who they believe will be holding large amounts of cash or tickets to resell.

A number of festival goers this year have gone equipped with cut and slash resistant clothing and even stab vests, and due to instances in previous years organisers of the festival have introduced mobile and fixed metal detection equipment to catch people with knives. Security both in the town and at the festival has been beefed up considerably this year.

Stones, aged 44, of Old Bridge Close, Glastonbury was initially charged with unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm to Harley Govier with intent to do him grievous bodily harm on January 13th.

He is also alleged to have assaulted Harleys girlfriend Louise Curry-Gowan during the same incident, which lasted for around 10 minutes in total. The 2 parties were said to have had a heated argument and had noth been drinking alcahol at the time.

Prosecutor for the day was Sarah Rhodes who said that on the day in question the defendant had been released on police bail after being charged with another matter, which is believed to of been drugs related.

Stones was said to of pinned the victim onto a sofa by kneeling on him, punched him several times and then stabbed him in the top of his arm with a knife. The wound was not said to be a serious wound, though any wound can be fatal.

After the stabbing he is then alleged to have assaulted the female victim by punching her in the face, and knocking her to the ground.

The judge who advised that this was a most serious incident ordered that the defendant be sent straight to Taunton Crown Court as the stabbing matter was too serious to be dealt with by the magistrates, and there was a definite possibility that the man could be facing a long time inside prison.

An application by defending solicitor Gareth Webb for Stones to be released on conditional bail was refused and he was remanded in custody until his appearance at a preliminary hearing at Taunton on January 24. The judge advised that Stones was a known felon and that having been on bail for another instance he would be a danger to the public if released.

David Cameron Admits Knife Crime Out Of Control

David Cameron recently told the House of Commons that levels of gun and knife crime, particularly in inner city areas, were unacceptable and suggested one solution may lie with families.

There have been numerous deaths throughout the UK in the first half of 2011, with London having one of the highest knife crime rates in Europe.

He was questioned by Chuka Umunna MP, who had just met the family of Nana Darko-Frempong, 18, who died after being shot in south London on Monday.

The teenager was the third person to be killed in south London in a fortnight, and the seventh teenager to be killed this year. Knife crime is a problem which the government are now going to be putting additional resources into tackling.

Salford burglar stabbed homeowner break in Pendlebury Manchester flanagan arrested

Burglar Stabbed to death by homeowner who has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Neil Flanagan, 59, his son, Peter, 27, and Peter’s girlfriend have been arrested and are being held for further questioning.

Every man has the right to protect himself. We have for thousands of years and when an intruder enters a mans house he is entering someones little piece of England and should that person do so with bad intent then a man may have to defend his family.

A man is technically not allowed to own a real weapon and in the heat of the moment especially when under fear for his life he can be driven to equip himself with a kitchen knife or other potential weapon that has a perfectly normal every day use.

The Salford householder is being questioned by police today after a burglar was stabbed to death during a break-in last night. It is thought that the householder acted after hearing noises downstairs when he went to investigate he was attacked in the kitchen area and managed to pick up a knife and scare off the intruders.

It should be stressed that this was not maybe the best course of action and 4 vs 1 is not a fight that anyone should want to enter. It has been reported that the householder actually was wearing a stab proof vest when he went to tackle the intruders, even so it was a very risky move considering he was outnumbered 4 to 1.

The dead burglar, 26 year-old man was just one of four masked men who were disturbed during their burglary shortly before midnight, when the family were resting in the upstairs of the house and were alerted to a sound of breaking glass from downstairs.

The householder Neil Flanagan was protecting his property in Salford, Greater Manchester as his son and his son’s girlfriend were at risk so he chose to confront the raiders.

All three thiefs (the live ones) are now belived to be held by police today, and it is thought they will appear at magistrates court tommorrow for an initial hearing, though due to the serious nature of the crime they may be held a bit longer before the court appearance.

Witnesses have said that the stabbed burglar was carried away from the address by the other members of the gang but was left at the roadside and later pronounced dead in hospital. It is thought that he was carrying the car keys and when they could not find them they ran off into the night. By this time the Police helicopter had been scrambled along with a number of ground units and the men were rounded up.

David Cameron recently announced proposals for a major change in the law to give homeowners the right to protect themselves against burglars and robbers.

The Prime Minister said on Tuesday that householders will be allowed to use reasonable force to defend their property, though some people have argued that this will still leave the law unclear on what is resonable.

Mr Cameron stated “My mission is to make sure families feel safe in their homes and they can walk the streets freely and without fear. Our policies are about making sure that is the case. The system today is failing and badly needs reform.”

He also promised that the new Justice Bill would “put beyond doubt that homeowners and small shopkeepers, who use reasonable force to defend themselves or their properties, will not be prosecuted”.

This recent proposal to change the law has come in response to public anger over the fact that they seem to have few legal rights when it comes to self defence and defending your property in general.

Cases like the jailing of Tony Martin, the Norfolk farmer who shot dead a burglar, and businessman Munir Hussain, who chased and beat a man who had held his family at knifepoint at their home in High Wycombe have provoked much anger and upset amongst members of the law abiding public.

By this morning Greater Manchester Police had put up a 300 foot cordon around the small terrace house in Ethel Avenue, which backs onto open scrubland thought to be a haven for drug users and other undesirables close to a council recycling centre in the Pendlebury area of Salford.

Local sources say they believed intruders forced their way in through the back door of the property and were then confronted by the residents.

There is another theory that is that this man was involved in illegal activity and that he was targetting because of what he does, maybe he is a drug dealer or criminal, we dont know. All we know is that he was defending his property.

After Police were called by a neighbour they discovered the injured man at the foot of a tree in nearby Hospital Road. The man was barely concious and he had a bad stab wound to his side and a number of other stabs and cut related injuries.

By the time Paramedics arrived on the scene he was in a bad way and he was taken to hospital where after a long battle he was pronounced dead.

A resident, who did not want to be named, said: “I was coming back home with the dog at around half 12 and saw police swarming up the street.

The whole road was cordoned off and I saw someone being rushed into an ambulance but I couldn’t get that close because of the barriers. It’s a quiet street so I was shocked when I saw all that.”
A police spokeswoman said: “Just before midnight police were called to a house in Ethel Avenue Pendlebury, following reports of a burglary.

“While officers were responding to the first call, police also received reports a group of men had been seen carrying an injured man onto Hospital Road. On arrival at Hospital Road, police found a 26-year-old man with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A 59-year-old man, 27-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman have been arrested and remain in police custody.” Salford divisional commander, Chief Superintendent Kevin Mulligan said: “Clearly this is a shocking incident and a man has lost his life.

“However, I can reassure the community that we will thoroughly investigate what happened last night and do not believe that members of the public are at risk.”

This instance highlights how vunrable we all are when it comes to being victims of crime. All we can do is protect ourselves and stay strong.
