Protective Masks and Respirators
Masks are worn on a day-to-day basis by workers and civilians worldwide. More commonly known as respirators, masks provide valuable, sometimes life saving lung protection and are rated according to the protection offered. High quality well made masks to protect against a range of fine particles, for example the toxic fumes contained in diesel and petrol vehicle pollution, and even diseases and airborne viruses. Some masks are especially useful in busy cities and when carrying out activities in the construction, medical and cleaning sectors.
The lessons learned from asbestos exposure in the past, and scientific research confirming the dangers of toxins in the air from car fumes, and potentially lethal man-made materials, mean that high quality protective face masks are now being widely used to protect workers, and civilians who live in seriously polluted cities.
Essentially protective masks provide respiratory protection. Respirators such as gas masks and particulate respirators can filter chemicals and gases or airborne particles. Another type of respirator protects by providing clean air from another source. This type includes what are called airline respirators and also self-contained breathing apparatus (For SCUBA-Diving).

Full face masks like these old ones pictured are used to protect from chemical, organic, and other particle dangers.
In some work environments, respirators are used if adequate ventilation is not available for some reason, and in engineering control systems where air quality means working without protection is not sensible. In the United Kingdom, respiratory protective equipment is widely supplied, though the customers exact needs should always be discussed and the protection level made clear at point of sale.
The Institute of Occupational Medicine has a long-standing and varied research programme that has included the setting of workplace protection factors to assess the efficiency of masks available. Customers and clients of Protect Yourself LTD can buy all types of masks, at low wholesale prices.
I first became interested in protective masks in 2011, and started selling them in 2012. There is a big worldwide interest in these essential PPE items. Many people regularly use lung protectors, ie protective masks. Speaking with companies who currently use masks, I see how high volume users need regular supplies, so started a mask program for my company.
There are a vast range of high quality masks available on the UK market, so by becoming an expert in these products, I hope to save lives. My company Protect Yourself Ltd now sell masks, including top of the range full face protective respirators.
