A Police officer has been shot by a gun and his condition is thought to be serious condition in Hospital in Toronto. The officer who is a long serving member of the force. The shooting is not the first fire arms incident in the area in recent time.
The Police officer from the southeastern Ontario town has been injured and taken to hospital after police were involved in a shooting Wednesday morning. A man is thought to of threatened officers with a gun before being shot as he would not surrender. In the process one of the officers was shot.
Ornge, the medical transport service have confirmed that the officer has been taken by air ambulance to Toronto where he is in a serious but stable condition.

A statement from the the City of Kawartha Lake near Peterborough, says there is no threat to the public and have released no further details about the shooting in Lindsay which is about 132 km northeast of Toronto.
