We are often asked if we can supply carnivore injury resistant jackets that will provide protection against tigers leopards and lions etc. The answer is yes and we have recognised that there have been many deaths and injuries from animal related attacks, something which can be protected against.
Protective clothing can be tailored to defend against smaller less powerful animals who may cut and nibble, though additional padding and armoured protection would be needed when dealing with tigers and leopards, and major carnivores.
High strength chain-mail and even armour plating is useful. On its own cut resistant textile based clothing should not be seen as the ideal solution for tiger or big cat protection. Injury resistant jackets are certainly something which require a great deal of expertise, and cannot be made cheaply.
Animal parks, zoos and all other animal welfare and animal handling organisations use protective workwear such as jackets, gloves and trousers to protect workers from injury from carnivores and other animals. Protect Yourself always recommend a hard armour and chain mail solution, though any big cat can kill, and most armour only reduces the risk, not eliminates it.
The highest levels of protection are needed for animal organisations. It is important that workers have the best protection available and we work closely with our manufacturing partners to find appropriate solutions.
High quality animal protection is proving very popular with Animal Welfare professionals. Protection from Tigers, Lions, Leopards and other big cats who have claws is something which is well needed on the worldwide market.
